The most precious collection of brooches we've ever come across! This particular brooch features a hand-painted illustrated depiction of a quaint village. The brooch is set in a rope-effect silver-coloured metal frame, with a plastic transparent film protecting the creation. 7cm in width. C-type clasp with rotating closure to secure.

In good condition, scuffs and scratches to the metal as expected of a brooch this age.

Embroidered and hand-made brooches were popularised during the 'make-do-and-mend' years of world war two and they remained popular throughout the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's. You could also buy kits with threads, pre-printed designs on fabric and the necessary mounts to complete your piece of jewellery.

PLEASE NOTE: This item is vintage and, therefore, is likely to have minor signs of wear and tear. This includes minor bobbling and pulls to fabric, or small scuffs and marks on our jewellery items. We put every effort into photographing and describing each piece accurately, so any noticeable flaws will be noted in the description and photographed where possible.
